   Tug Hill Paranormal is a non-profit paranormal research society founded in November of 2012. We are based in Lewis County, New York. All of our members are former members of The Northern Paranormal Society, which was founded in 2008. In forming this new paranormal group, we are continuing the commitment of The Northern Paranormal Society, which was to scientifically research, investigate, and document paranormal phenomena. We are dedicated to providing assistance to families and/or individuals who have had experiences with paranormal phenomena. We have been, and will continue to be, an integral part of our community through our seminars at various educational facilities and our support of local businesses through fundraising and attending local events.  All team members go through extensive training in all aspects of our organization as well as follow strict protocols and guidelines in order to provide this service to individuals and our community. We strive to continuously educate ourselves in this field of study as well as remain current on the latest equipment used in paranormal investigating. We provide the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism with all clients and there is never a charge for our service.

News posted May 7, 2014: Join Tug Hill Paranormal for an all-night “Lock-In” at the General Walter Martin Mansion! (We won’t really be locked-in!) At 8 pm on June 6, 2014, we will be gathering at the Mansion in Martinsburg, NY to spend the night in a documented paranormal location! We will be offering a quick tour and presentation of the evidence that has been gathered so far. Following this, we will be investigating the mansion. We will then be camping in the house overnight to experience whatever the building chooses to offer us. At 8 am on Saturday, June 7, we will awaken to discuss the previous evening over coffee and doughnuts. Cost is $35 per person payable by June 2 to secure one of the 25 spots. Send payment to the Lewis County Historical Society at PO Box 446, Lowville NY 13367 or drop off at our Lowville building at 7552 S. State St. No refunds will be offered unless the event is cancelled. All proceeds from the event benefit the Lewis County Historical Society and their efforts to restore this once majestic building.

What to Bring: you will need to dress for the weather. The building is unheated and unfurnished. There are no beds. Several blankets, a sleeping bag, or air mattress would probably be the best option. The electricity in the building is very limited. You might want to bring a favorite snack and/or drink. No alcohol will be allowed. You may bring a camera or any other “ghost hunting” equipment you have.
